A++++++++++++++++ Store! WOW!!!I walked into this store expecting to be nothing special. Boy I was dead wrong, I was greeted by staff and they answered all of my questions thoroughly. Everyone I have met so far is very friendly and very knowledgeable. If they don't have somthing in stock they are more than happy to order it for you. I would reccomend this store over any other store especially that other tropic store. These guys here quarentine ALL of their fish before they touch the tanks.. "WOW" I don't know where to begin. walked in for the first time and the waves are greeeat! Rounded the corner and it jest kept getting better and better though out the whole store. It doesn't stink, LOVE independant filtration, LOVE the quarientine room, LOVE the filtration systems youv'e designed fabulous, and especially LOOOVE the baby pools fulll of healthy corals. GREAT ideas. By talking with you we could tell the love for the creatures, and the passion behind it all. Can't believe you guys have been here all this time.WE JUST FOUND A NEW STORE. Tucked way back in a business park, this is anything but your ordinary store. My visit today was wonderful. Not a large shop, not huge on dry goods, but extremely knowledgeable staff/owners. Very pleasant in a "This is my living room and these are my tanks" kind of way. Tanks are immaculate all animals inbound are QT'd on the premises. All tanks are separate filtration. Awesome variety of healthy macro algae. The use of wading pools as coral farms is very fun. They are only "open" on Saturdays between 9-6, but they are there during the week and a simple call will have them opening up for you. Prices are not on the tanks, but all the ones I asked were reasonable. There philosophy is quality, not quantity, so they don't have to add into the prices for those animals that didn't survive.
Well worth the trip if you are heading to HOT. Not far off the Baltimore Beltway either. I had heard about you on CMAS forums, but I posted a nice advertisement on thereeftank.com tonight.

I just found you and man was I glad. No more shopping around. I like the idea you hold your fish. I didn't see a bunch of dead ones laying in the bottoms or floating on the top. I went to a L.P.S. and seen a bunch and the guy told me they were bottom dwellers HA,HA. You guys ARE doing it the right way. I also like you don't run all the water togeather. J.M. Va. |

Just to let you know: I bought one of your Ick Curing Systems. I took it home and followed your instrustions to the T. I put the 3 little fish in there that was infected and they were healed It really works. Thanks Sea Save for all your help. If it were not for your system I don't know what would have happened. |

I just wanted to let you know that the copper banded butterfly fish I bought from you 2 weeks ago is doing awesome!!! Also I posted a great endorsement for you on a local reef club site (WAMAS) that I hope will get you alot of business. Thanks for all your help ,, here is a copy of what I posted ....... There is a great new store http://seasave.net/ in Glen Burnie its small but really has nice livestock and great prices. The people that run it are Hobbyist and extremely friendly, I have purchased a couple pieces of corals, a fish, and a bunch of live rock from them and their stuff is really top notch. Call for directions its kind of tricky to find. They even donate some of their profits to save the reef type groups. If you wanted they would spend all day talking to you about the hobby, I have never experienced this type of customer service anywhere. Check out their website for details , liverock is some of the best! I have ever seen.....

I was reading over your guarantee on fish. Do you
only guarantee that they arrive alive? I guess my concern is if a
fish arrives and is in bad shape and doesnt pull through
acclimation or last 24/48 hours is it not covered under your
guarantee?
Answere:
We at Sea Save isolate/quarantine/hospitalize (And medicate in
extreme cases if need be) ALL of our fish 3 - 5 days as we
recommend. We do not charge you for this process. We are offered
an arrive alive guarantee with our suppliers. We are given credit
for any live stock except Sharks, Rays and octopus. In order to
become MAC (Marine Aquarium Council) certified, (Which we are
striving for) We are required to hold them for 3 - 5 days which we
do. The guarantee your are reading is the guarantee our suppliers
offer "to order". It's basically a General guarantee. However, we
are a "Specialty Store" and do things a little differently. As we
order your new pet for you and you come to pick it up we give you
the option for us to run it through our "system" or come pick it
up right out of the bag. (You may visit your pet during this
process) L.O.L. Since we have had 100% success rate we are
confident and guarantee that your pet is healthy when it goes home with you. We have no hidden "loop holes" to blame. Your ph is off,
Your ammonia is too high, send us the tail, and so forth. Some
people prefer to pick up and some prefer waiting. We are not in
this industry to buy, sell, buy, sell. If your would like to
discuss any aspect of this in more detail we will be more than
happy to accommodate your specific needs. Please keep in mind when
ordering off the internet these fish have all ready been acclimated to our tanks. We have been shipping live stock for more than 5 yrs. and yes have had a few casualties, (I'd be lying if I said any different) If you would give us a call we will Guarantee the life of your new pet. We went ahead and bought a Dory from somewhere else because you do not carry it. (Hippo Tang). Just wanted to let you know how much we appretiate curing our fish for us. We have learned our lesson. We will never buy another fish from any where else. There is a reason you don't carry some fish and I will take your recommendations from now on. Some friends told me about your store. It was not what I expected. It was so clean and didn't stink. I showed up the next mornig after you got the new rock in. Beautiful man. The whole store. We like the idea, the concept and conservation ideas. Until visiting your store we finaly got it. We like you conserving the life of these creatures. I just hope all the other guys jump on the band wagon and STOP ordering what ever THEY want. Besacuse of what you all do has made us aware of the power WE as comsumers have.
