When I was a child I use to ask; Why, Why, Why. Why this and why that, but it seems that when I became an adult I still ask those same questions. A quest for knowledge and striving to NOT make those same mistakes.
     Why won’t anybody DO anything any more? Is it confusion? Is it fear? Why don’t people ask “Where can I help?” What can I do to make a difference? What is my purpose?
     “They shall know them by their fruits“. I want to help so bad it is making me sick to sit here and just do nothing. It doesn’t seem to be enough to talk about it. We’ve got to act NOW! Why is there so much procrastination? Why does everybody have to talk, talk, talk. Until the problems grows or goes away? How can we prepare for the worst when we don’t know what the worst is? Why are they not talking about the tropical fish and the reefs? I am so disgusted with the non-actions from all the so called experts. Fax, Text, E-mail, Call, text, e-mail, fax, call, e-mail, call, text, call, tweet, red tape, then maybe someday we’ll do something. 3 months later… a paragraph on a page. An e-mail saying; “We’ll get back to you”. Is A N Y B O D Y DOING anything? I JUST DON’T GET IT. How can anybody live their life without caring about something other than themselves? I would like to believe that everybody has love built within. Can anybody relate?
     Fear = False Evidence Appearing Real. Are we reacting or have we came to the point that we give up? Are we asking the right questions? Why are we not ACTING? Somebody said; “We need to be Pro-Active not Re-Active”. Why do people dodge responsibility? Why do the definitions of the words we use change? The words bad, safe, reliable, trust, integrity, among others that don’t mean the same any more or at least are not believable. Why don’t people give or get straight answers any more? Although it may sounds as if I’ve lost faith in humanity, just the contrary. It has increased my faith, my prayer life and my hopes and dreams. Mostly to help change along. Change in the way we operate business, in the way we behave and in the things I believe in. To learn not only from my own mistakes but also the mistakes of others.
     There’s much more that is being effected by this than just the oysters, shrimps, crabs, birds and turtles. It’s just the beginning. The are many other creatures the eat these creatures that WILL be effected as well, not to forget all the other filter feeders (sea squirts, mussels, corals) and fish that eat the crustaceans. The ONLY living coral reef left in the continental United States, in the gulf are in the Keys and IS in danger as well as the tropical fish, sharks, puffers, filefish, seahorses, pipefish, wrasses, damsels, and many other species including US! Even if you do not care about the creatures “WE” will be affected by the cost and the food source. WE will be the ones who pay for it.
     Words are just letters on a page without the “ACTIONS” to give them meaning. If I say I love, than without the actions, it’s not believable. I choose to live a life full of legacy, of faith, excellence and hope to pass on to future generations. To live a life of honor and integrity and to pass it forward, to make a difference in somebody’s life.
